Semler Industries’ Management Team

Loren W. Semler – President and COO

Loren is the third generation president of the organization and has been with Semler Industries since 1996. During his time with the company he has held positions in shipping/receiving, fabrication, project coordinator, customer satisfaction, VP of operations and now president of Semler Industries. Mr. Semler has a BA in Business Administration from Carthage College and an Executive MBA from Loyola University – Chicago.


Katherine Felton – Sr. Vice President

Katherine has been with Semler Industries since 1988 after receiving her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration & Economics from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Her current position of Senior Vice-President came in 2007 after serving Semler for decades in back-office support areas including Information Technology, Marketing, Human Resources, Credit & Collection, and Finance.


William Schulz – Director of Strategic Accounts

Bill Schulz started with Semler Industries in 1973 and has supported many different roles within the company. His positions have been Sales Engineer., General Manager of the Liquid Handling Group, Director of Sales for the company and currently is Director of Strategic Accounts. This role requires addressing both local and national customer challenges that are business and technical in nature. Bill has a BA degree from Milton College.


Joe Palm – VP of Plant Operations

Since 1974 Joe has worked in the Semler Industries assembly plant. Mr. Palm spent the first decade of his career at Semler Industries working in the plant performing assembly, welding and other fabrication roles. In 1984 he took over plant manager responsibilities from his father. Joe has certifications in welding and other fabrication techniques. Joe is named on 5 patents to date, for his work on custom systems development at Semler.


Brian E. Porter – Director of Technical Product and Market Development

Brian joined Semler Industries in 2010 as a part of the post-recession growth strategy to develop new products. Mr. Porter carries a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree from UIC and Masters of Management in Project Management from Boston University. He is a licensed engineer in Illinois and has global PMP certification. He has eight patents with several pending domestically and internationally.


Tom Boyle – Controller / Accounting

Mr. Boyle joined the organization in 1995 and has performed controller and accounting functions for more than 15 years. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in Economics from Ferris State University.


Matt Newcomb – Customer Satisfaction Manager

Mr. Newcomb joined Semler Industries in 2006 as a Customer Satisfaction Correspondent for the Fluid Purification Group. In 2008, he became Manager of the Customer Satisfaction Department and resides in that position today. His primary duty is to continually improve order accuracy, quick response times and a pleasant experience. Matt graduated from Carthage College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Marketing.


Shirley Swesky – Credit Manager

Came aboard in 1988 with over 20 years experience in credit & collections areas. Over the years various accounting fields were able to utilize her experience, with credit & collection always remaining the priority. All international processing and shipping is also overseen by Shirley.

Mr. Neubert joined Semler Industries serving in the hydraulics-pneumatics division of customer service. He then transferred to purchasing and continues to serve in this function today. Additionally, Ron helps with inventory control and maintaining the SCIP (Single Customer Inventory Position) where parts are stocked specifically for individual customers, based on their usage requirements.


Rosario Molina– Executive Administrative Assistant

Rosie started working for Semler Industries in 2008 as Receptionist. She also served as administrative assistant to the Customer Satisfaction Department. With the observed dedication to those roles, Rosie was promoted to Executive Administrative Assistant to the President in 2010. Ms. Robles education in Business Management suits this role well.
