ALS Walk 4 Life 2012
ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, attacks a person’s muscles
– gradually robbing their ability to walk, speak, eat and breathe; yet usually keeping their mind intact. Nerve degeneration leads to muscle weakness and impaired speaking, swallowing and breathing; eventually causing complete paralysis and death. While some symptoms are treatable, there is currently NO CURE.
For the second consecutive year, Semler’s “Team Victory” will walk in honor of one of its First Ladies, Vickie Semler, at the upcoming ALS Walk 4 Life in Chicago on 9-22-12. Semler employees along with their families and friends, hope to raise funds & awareness in support of the Les Turner ALS Foundation. The Les Turner ALS Foundation provides funding for research to find a cure, as well as patient support services. If you wish to donate, please visit the Les Turner ALS Foundation website, click on “Donate to a Team” and scroll down the list until you see Team Victory.
Thank you for your support!
